Dr. Susana Pulawa is Hawaiian born and raised. She graduated from the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine then practiced in two clinics in California before making her way back to Hawaii, namely the island of Kauai. She reunited with Kauai Veterinary Clinic (KVC), where she was previously a vet assistant, and has remained on staff, practicing small animal medicine and surgery at the clinic since 1994. She and her husband and two sons keep a small farm of goats and sheep, have two dogs, “Rocksie”, an Airedale mix, and “Butter”, a Great Dane, and two cats, “Jane”, a Siamese mix and “Poi-Dee-Cat”, a Russian Blue. She enjoys time with her family, beach excursions, cooking and culinary discoveries and outdoor activities.
Dr. Bethany Bushe was born and raised in Hilo, Hawai’i where she got her education from University of Hawai’i at Hilo with her bachelors in Animal Science Pre-Vet with a minor in Biology then was part of the inaugural veterinary class of paired Washington State University and Utah State University where she graduated in 2016. Dr. Beth enjoys her time relaxing at home with her partner (Luis) and daughter (Evangeline). She also has 4 pets that keep her very busy; an Aussie (LINQ), Golden Retriever (Appa), and two cats (Java & GUI).
Dr. Gallardo Grew up in Puerto Rico. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Ross University and her clinical year in Oregon State University.
She has been practicing at Kauai Veterinary Clinic since 2018.
Dr. Gallardo and her husband Kai have 4 dogs, a mini-aaustralian shepherd “chachi”, a Dalmatian “napali”, a teacup yorkie “nai’a” and a mini chihuahua “Lord Sid”
